Blooming British summers, eh? They’re rarely dependable and seldom sunny, but sit yourself down in the right place with the right drink and even the darkest of clouds won’t be able to dampen your spirit.

Gin is becoming trendier by the day and as more and more of us seek alternatives to a Gordon’s and Schweppes, we look to places like Rosylee, the Northern Quarter restaurant and bar, to deliver something, shall we say, a little different.

That’s why they have got together with Bloom Gin to unveil the first Bloom Gin Terrace outside of London.

The makers of this London Dry Gin have been hoovering up awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and International Wine & Spirit Challenge – impressive accolades for a relatively young distillery.

It’s a partnership celebrating Joanne Moore’s 10th anniversary as master gin distiller – and as one of the best sun spots in the city, Rosylee’s revamped terrace is the perfect place for it. With the added allure of Bloom Gin, it could get competitive for seats when the sun decides to stop hiding behind the clouds.

Bloom may be a London Dry Gin, but it’s is incredibly light and floral. When paired with a delicate mixer, it transforms into an irresistible and thirst-quenching summer tipple.

It was evident from the launch party that master distiller Joanne loves her work and the product she and her team have produced. With enthusiastic and knowledgable staff behind the bar, Rosylee churned out classic G&Ts alongside the magnificent Bloom 75 cocktail with ease.

The Terrace will be open until the end of the summer serving up five very special cocktails – Bloom Gin & Tonic with strawberries, Bloom French 75 (fresh lemon juice topped up with prosecco), Bloom Pear Bellini, Bloom Elderflower Crush and the Bloom Honey Bee.

The Bloom Gin Terrace is open at Rosylee in Stevenson Square every day from 12pm until 10pm. Bloomin’ great.
