Manchester is a city which bears more than a passing resemblance to Manhattan. Film makers have spotted the similarities and used the Northern Quarter to stand in for New York on more than one occasion. And there are touches of Americana dotted around the city centre. The film Manhattan was Woody Allen’s love letter to New York. This is our love letter to Manchester with a nod to the opening shots from his film.

We hope you like it. The music is The Stone Roses’ Waterfall as you’ve never heard it before, played by Richard Thomas.
