We may have two of the country’s top football teams but there’s more to sport in Manchester than United and City. There’s the National Cycling Centre, Lancashire County Cricket Club, and Manchester Giants basketball team for starters, and every year The GreatCity Games brings world class athletes to the streets of the city centre. If you prefer to take part rather than watch, there’s the Great Manchester Run, the Greater Manchester Marathon, and Sky Ride, so there’s really no excuse not to get active.
