Festive extravaganza Winter Wonderland, the UK’s largest indoor Christmas theme park, returns to EventCity from Saturday 12th December 2015 until Sunday 3rd January 2016.

The magical festive family adventure features more than 40 family rides and attractions all under one roof, with many rides all included in the entry price.

The attraction officially opens to the public on Saturday 12th December, but organisers Kingpin Events are giving North West charities an early Christmas gift by inviting them to experience the magic of Winter Wonderland entirely free of charge.

There are giving away 1,500 free tickets to charities in the North West whose work specifically benefits children and their families; disadvantaged young people; and bereaved families.

A special preview session will take place on Monday 14th December between 4.30pm and 8.30pm. Organisations must be registered charities and based in the North West to be considered. The event is fully accessible.

In addition to the rides, families can enjoy activities including an ice princess show, a daily live show from television favourite The Sooty Show; the spectacular Christmas Circus and a brand new show for 2015, The Magical Van Buren Show, a unique and fun mix of magic, illusions, escapology, circus skills and a few surprises thrown in from master magician Andrew Van Buren who has performed at Blackpool Tower Circus, The Brit Awards and The Royal Albert Hall. And no Christmas would be complete without the man in the red suit, so children can meet Santa up to and including Christmas Eve.

Visitors will also meet performers throughout their Winter Wonderland adventure, including stilt walkers, Christmas fairies and fairytale characters. Games, food and drinks stalls will also be available.

Tammy Silcock of Kingpin Events, organisers of Winter Wonderland said: “We’re extremely excited about bringing the Winter Wonderland extravaganza back to the North West this Christmas – and we’re particularly looking forward to welcoming local charities for their preview evening.

“Last year’s charity evening proved a huge success and was very humbling for everyone involved. It was very special and our guests thoroughly enjoyed being the first visitors to enjoy the Winter Wonderland experience. If you are a registered charity and you would benefit from this festive treat then please do get in touch.”

To register your interest, email [email protected] with details of the charity, registered charity number, their logo and the number of tickets you require. Charities will be chosen at random.

The closing date for applications is Friday 20th November. Successful charities will be notified via email by Thursday 26th November.
