Fright night makeovers, a wizard’s bar and thousands of tricks and treats are set to make this Halloween the scariest yet at intu Trafford Centre.
The countdown is on to October half-term week when the shopping centre is being transformed for the spooky celebration – with an array of frightfully exciting events in store.
A magical pop-up experience at The Wizard and the Wand
A pop-up bar will magically appear on lower Peel Avenue so shoppers will have to be quick to experience a little fantasy and sorcery. Complete with wizarding cloaks, dark arts demonstrations and magical photo opportunities, The Wizard and the Wand will be serving buttery fizz, smoking mocktails and other mystical potions from 6-9pm on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 October and 2-8pm on Saturday 28 October.
Little witches and wizards can even pick up a sparkly, colourful candy floss wand for free at The Wizard and the Wand at 12-2pm on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 October.
Glitter, glows and jellies at Hamleys
Mini makeovers for children will be on offer outside Hamleys through the week, with spooky glitter tattoos 12-4pm from Tuesday 24 till Sunday 29 October, plus ghostly moon glow make-up 7-8pm from Thursday 26 till Sunday 29 October. The store is also playing Beanboooozzled jelly bean roulette every day at 1-2pm and 3-4pm from Thursday 29 till Saturday 28 October.
The Witching Hour
Evening shoppers are in for a treat – or a trick – from Thursday 27 till Saturday 28 October at 7-8pm for the centre’s Witching Hour. A cast of ghastly ghouls and startling spirits will burst across the centre with bags full of comical tricks and treats such as beauty goody bags from John Lewis, free Laser Quest tickets and gift vouchers for The Face Doctor.
Beauty Fright Night
If you go down to intu Trafford Centre malls on Friday 27 October, you’ll be sure of a ghastly surprise. An array of the centre’s top designer and high street brands are laying on a Beauty Fright Night for shoppers seeking a spooky Halloween makeover with a difference.
From full slashed throats, creepy doll, day of the dead looks, to cat eye flicks and spooky nails, the top beauty teams will be showcasing how to get this year’s coolest Halloween looks with free demonstrations from 6-10pm throughout the centre.
Trick or Treat
The annual intu trick or treat family event is also taking place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October in partnership with the centre’s 200 shops and restaurants. Little trick or treaters can pick up their free special bucket from the customer services desk and then scour the centre for specially decorated pumpkins in spooky windows.
