Excited about the return of the footy? No matter whether you’re a red or a blue, it’s time to dust off those boots and start the season early as I Love MCR have teamed up with MOA Events and FanBet to bring Life Size Human Foosball to the UK’s most footy mad city.

Kicking off on Thursday 28th September 2017 and running until Sunday 8th October 2017 from 11am – 8pm outside the National Football Museum in Cathedral Gardens, this supersized version of the popular pub game is much more than a game of footy, it’s a game of agility, teamwork, concentration and coordination. Players hands are attached to sliding bars and they must move and work in unison to score against the opposing team. But remember, when you move so does your partner so communication is key!

With fast-moving balls bouncing off netting, players sliding side to side to block and kick and goalies ready to fire the ball down field, the only thing you can’t do is a spin kick! With a referee also thrown in for good measure to dish out any well deserved red cards, this really will be a hilarious activity that guarantees to have all in stitches.

So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a twinkle toes and want to come and show off your ball skills, simply create a name, pitch it to your mates, friends, family and anyone else you fancy thrashing and come and join us for some footy-themed frolics and fun. The easiest way to play is to pull 2 teams of 5 together and then book the same time slot, or you can’t get 10 you can choose to be pitched against other teams potluck style-simply let us know on the booking form and we’ll try our best to match you up.

Single games last for 20 minutes and at only £6 per person per game, it’s far cheaper than a match ticket. If you fancy a longer play, the pitch can be booked by the hour for just £80 and you can bring up to 30ppl.

£1 from every ticket will also be donated to the National Football Museum charity, so you’ll be doing your bit to keep Manchester’s football heritage alive for future generations.

More of a spectator than a player? Well come and support your team from the sidelines instead. There’ll be tipples and tasty snacks on offer at Cafe Football including a £10 per head meal and drink deal which will be ideal for booking as a team networking event – view food options and download the menu here. Every player will also receive a host of exclusive food and drink discount vouchers and FanBet treats in I Love MCR goody bags.

So if your usual game of Foosball is in the pub with a drink in hand, we’re giving you the unique opportunity to come and play big and see how good you really are. Will you be the hat-trick king or (queen) or the only one to score an own goal?

Whatever you are and however you play, you’ve got to be in it to win it, so make sure you register your interest today to take part in the funniest footy game of the season.
