Work has started on DinoFalls, an adventure golf course set in an incredible 5000 sq metre Jurassic Park-style setting next to the M60 at Trafford Golf Centre.

It’s set to be one of the UK’s biggest adventure golf locations and is due to open later this year.

It will be like visiting Jurassic Park every time you play at DinoFalls. The 18-hole course will feature moving dinosaurs up to six metres high, a water-spraying pterodactyl, hidden caves and a three-metre high waterfall with over 1,500 gallons of water falling over it every minute into a specially created river.

It’s set to be one of the most dramatic looking courses ever with around 70 tonnes of artificial rock, along with 340 tonnes of concrete, shipped in specially.

The Jurassic setting will be enhanced by more than 500 specially selected plants – everything from shrubs to palm trees.

And little monsters will have a roaring good time too.  Ideal for kids, DinoFalls will have two rooms available for school classes or parties, along with fact-finding around the site, providing an opportunity to learn more about dinosaurs and the prehistoric period.

Last year Trafford Golf Centre hit over 11.5 million balls, making it one of the busiest golf ranges in Europe – and DinoFalls is going to make it even bigger.

It will be the largest golf course of its kind outside London and shares the site of Trafford City with intu Trafford Centre – the perfect place to shop and fuel up before your dinosaur showdown.

“We’re expecting this to be one of the busiest adventure golf sites in the UK,” said Pete Styles of Trafford Golf Centre.

“DinoFalls will cater for the ever-growing leisure market in Trafford City providing a memorable and fun activity for families, couples, children’s parties and corporate and school groups.

“With the backdrop of ChillFactore behind us, and the incredible Jurassic setting being created next to the M60, this will certainly be one of Manchester’s most eye-catching attractions.”
