Ever had something to eat on a bus? We’re not talking a bag of crisps or even a bag of chips on the way home from a night out. We’re talking a proper meal.

Real Junk Food Manchester are joining forces with Commonplace, a social enterprise which runs a double decker bus which serves as a mobile community event space and venue for pop-ups, to bring a brand new dining experience to Manchester.

Like lots of buses – especially in the rush hour – this one won’t be moving. Unlike other buses, it will be parked in the glorious setting of Alexandra Park in Whalley Range.

As with all Real Junk Food events, you won’t know what you’re getting in advance. That’s because the meal will be made from food which would otherwise have gone to waste. The menu will depend entirely on what ingredients are available in the days leading up to the event.

However, as this is Real Junk Food, you can be confident their talented chefs will create some great dishes – and you pay what you think your meal is worth.

Eating on buses is not something we normally approve of.  We’re prepared to make an exception on this occasion.

The evening will feature two sittings – one at 5.30pm and one at 7.15pm. Places are strictly limited. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. Tickets are available here.
