Bangkok is a city of excitement, bursting with new ideas and constantly evolving. The world’s most visited city is a melting pot, absorbing influences, not just from Thailand but the rest of the world. A passion for food unites all who live and visit there, and at Busaba they replicate this experience.

From street food classics given a fresh twist, to their take on authentic comfort food eaten by Bangkokians in their homes and workplaces, Busaba showcase the newest ingredients and cooking styles reflecting emerging trends of modern eating within the capital, and like Bangkok itself, they always have something new to offer.

This month Busaba have introduced six new specials and they’re all available till April.

Avocado & Asian Hot Mint Super Salad

Inspired by a popular salad from Thailand’s east coast, given a Bangkok twist by using avocado, this dish is appearing more and more on menus in the Thai capital thanks to increasing demand for this popular, health-giving superfood.

Three Mushroom, Spinach and Smoked Garlic Thai Roti

Roti are the perfect snack for busy metropolitan life on the go. Small carts selling filled roti are a common sight in the backstreets of Bangkok. These are char-grilled, rustic and spicy. The sweetness from the roti goes so well with the savoury filling. Very moreish.

Crispy Thai-Fry Chicken in a Basket

Bangkok’s gone crazy for fried chicken and everyone’s got their own take. This turmeric-marinated fried chicken is made in the style of the south of Thailand and spiced the Isaan way with larb seasoning.  It comes with sweet potato fries and a refreshing Thai slaw.

Prawn, Squid & Scallop Stir-fry

Busaba got inspired by one of Bangkok’s most talked about seafood market restaurants which has the motto ‘if it swims, we have it’. This one has squid, scallops and prawns and swaps traditionally used red curry paste for green, making it sweeter, spicier and even more fragrant.

Wild Black Pepper Venison

Busaba have made a classic Thai dish their own, sourcing British wild venison from dedicated deer stalkers in North Yorkshire and adding pickled garlic to the sauce to give a delicious twist to this old school classic.

Drunken Beef Flat Noodle

Satisfying with savoury spice, this Chinese-influenced dish with flat rice noodles is made even more indulgent with slow-cooked beef that melts in the mouth. Drunken? Bangkokians love this kind of comfort food after a night out.
