Ever bought pick ‘n mix sweets and wished you could buy your clothes the same way? Well now you can. Because The Vintage Kilo Sale, Britain’s biggest vintage clothes fair, arrives in Manchester later this month bringing up to five tonnes of vintage and retro clothing from the 1960s-1990s.

The Vintage Kilo Sale is the place to add some vintage pieces to your wardrobe without breaking the bank. An economical yet exciting way to shop this season’s trends.

The formula is simple. You pay your entrance fee, grab a purple kilo bag and get to work. It’s just like pick ‘n mix, but for clothes not sweets.  Rummage through the tubs and rails, pick out what you fancy, take it to the scales and pay just £15 per kilo. Not as cheap as a bag of pick ‘n mix sweets but the clothes will last much longer. And they won’t damage your teeth.

There’s thousands of men’s and women’s vintage items to choose from including dresses, denim, blouses, shirts, jumpers, bags, boots, shorts, tees and trousers.

Don’t fancy a full kilo? No problem. Just pay as you weigh. With an average of 3-4 items per kilo, you can bag yourself a whole new outfit and still get change from a twenty quid note.

Expect dresses and denim, bomber jackets and blouses, festival fashion and formal wear. Nothing is off limits. Whether you’re looking for items to customise or a ready-to-wear look, there’s something for every style.

You don’t have to be a student to shop at The Vintage Kilo Sale. Customers include Charli XCX, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Florence Welch

Founder Judy Berger calls it ‘taking retro to its roots.’ Expect high standards and authentic clothing, bringing vintage that’s affordable, eclectic and well worth the weight.

28th January, The Union MMU, M15 6AD
11am-4pm 11am, £3 on the door. £1.50 from 12pm.
