One of Manchester’s healthiest places for grub on the go is giving you even more choice

Hot options, served in minutes, and completely customisable – the choice is yours. That’s the concept at Pita Pit. Say goodbye to sliced sandwiches and hello to wholesome pitas packed with a hot filling and your choice of salad and snacks, now with new menu options like Italian Meatballs and Chocolate and Banana Pudding.

Pita Pit is not a sandwich shop. It’s so much more. It’s good grub served speedily, bringing a whole new meaning to fast food with separately-prepared specials whether you love meat, prefer fish, are veggie, or vegan – for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There’s even more comfort this month in the form of the new Italian Meatball special, cooked fresh on the grill in front of you and served either in a pita bread or in a salad box.

To make it even easier, there is a recommended chef’s selection of toppings – with mixed leaf, green peppers, grilled red onion and tomatoes making a great salad. Paired with melted Swiss cheese, tzatziki and seasoned with chilli flakes, oregano plus a herby ranch dressing –  it’s set to be a popular option for lunch and dinner.

And remember, the choice is yours, so if you want to vary your veggies or try a different cheese or sauce there’s a salad station where a member of staff will be waiting to help you pick what you want. Pre-packed sandwiches look a bit lifeless next to a loaded-up option at Pita Pit.

There’s plenty for vegetarians and vegans too – something else which makes Pita Pit stand out in Manchester. No longer do veggies have to face the same old options. For example, the new Chocolate Banana Pudding is in keeping with the comfort food vibe but is made with almond milk rather than dairy. This is where chocolate becomes good for you! Chocolate Banana Pudding is superfood-loaded with chia seeds, raspberries, cinnamon and maple syrup; ready to eat in or take-away. It’s available in the chiller where you will also find the range of already popular birchers – fruit and muesli pots, with a Harvest Berry vegan option, ideal for breakfast or dessert.

With options like this on the menu for vegetarians as well as halloumi and falafel, why not give it a try?

Watch out for free drinks too! That’s right.  Pita Pit will be giving away cans of Ubuntu – healthy cola – during the week starting September 5 from 2-5pm if you purchase a pita or salad. And the generosity isn’t just a one off.  Visit Pita Pit on Piccadilly Place or Deansgate for free filtered water which you can help yourself to whenever you eat there. Both venues are open from early till late.
