King Street Townhouse, the much-anticipated addition to the Eclectic Hotels group, has opened its doors to guests.

The Grade II listed Italian renaissance-style building has been transformed into an elegant hotel with the finest quality fittings in the heart of the city centre.

“great care has
been taken to
transform this
majestic Grade II
listed building
into Manchester’s
first baby grand
hotel”

Guests can choose from five different room types, each with its own unique character and amenities, including a Nespresso machine and a well-stocked mini bar with alcoholic drinks such as champagne and other refreshment including Purdey’s, coconut water and fresh milk.

The epitome of luxury, each bedroom boasts handmade South African linen and a television with an in room Sky box, as well as a television over the bath.

Better than your city centre apartment? I think so.

The piece de résistance is the spectacular rooftop Infinity spa pool for hotel residents only and an exclusive south facing roof lounge and terrace, which are available for private hire and make the perfect setting for events such as summer barbecues.

With unrivalled views of the spires and clock tower of the town hall, it gives guests the opportunity to rise above the hustle and bustle of the streets below and take in the Victorian architecture of the city centre.

The hotel is home to the King Street Tavern, which is now taking bookings for Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. A stylish, yet relaxed bar and restaurant to suit all occasions, it serves a range of high quality dishes with the finest fresh ingredients such as lamb shank, fish pie and mushroom spaghetti. What’s more, they’re offering guests 50% off food until January 15.

“At Eclectic Hotels, we take pride in our efforts to restore period buildings back into use and great care has been taken to transform this majestic Grade II listed building into Manchester’s first baby grand hotel; a small adaption of a grand hotel.”

Owner and interior designer Sally O’Loughlin added: “The hotel boasts the same understated luxury as our other properties but King Street Townhouse has its own distinctive and charming character. Every room is unique and furnished with the highest quality fittings and fixtures to ensure that each and every guest has an unforgettable experience.”

King Street Townhouse will be a leisure, business and wedding venue. To welcome guests during the launch, they’re offering 50% off food the Tavern plus bedrooms are now available with 25% off all bedrooms booked in January 2016.
